Annual HarbourFest Celebration Kicks Off in June

06-Jun-2011 HarbourFest, a favorite Hilton Head Island tradition and the signature event of the summer, is held every year in the Shelter Cove Marina. Each June through September, Shelter Cove turns into a summer long family festival with something exciting and fun to do every single night!

HarbourFest features live entertainment, delicious food, street vendors, arts and crafts, fireworks and other family friendly activities. Tuesday evening fireworks at HarbourFest are especially popular and have become a long standing tradition with visitors and locals of the Island. Held harbour side each Tuesday from June through August, the fireworks are the centerpiece of the event and attract many guests each week.

Another popular HarbourFest tradition is the nightly family musical sing-a-long show from troubadour Shannon Tanner. These kid-friendly shows begin each night at 6:30 and have been an audience favorite for 23 years. Mr. Tanner’s shows are a big hit with children and families who return, year after year, to enjoy his performances. These popular shows will continue each night throughout the summer.
